We are looking for an experienced IT Architect Consultant to lead and manage IT architecture activities within a dynamic environment. Experience in the retail industry is considered a strong plus. This role plays a key part in shaping and evolving the Information Systems (IS) landscape, working closely with business and digital data teams to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong architectural vision, the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans, and a collaborative mindset to drive digital transformation. Responsibilities:
- Lead and centralize all IT architecture topics, ensuring alignment with business and digital data teams
- Define, maintain, and evolve the current and target IS architecture, including long-term projections
- Assess the impact of new initiatives on the existing architecture and perform gap analysis between AS-IS and TO-BE states
- Design and propose transition scenarios with clear, structured steps toward target architecture
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build a consistent business and digital transformation roadmap based on modular architecture principles
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 360° IS view covering:-Business (strategy, processes, organization, capabilities)-Data (models, semantics, lifecycle, integration, governance)-Applications (components, services, integrations, flows)-Technology (infrastructure, standards, security, networks)-Promote understanding of modular architecture principles across teams-Ensure architecture governance and supervise implementation of the defined roadmap-Contribute to the broader IT architecture community by sharing best practices and lessons learned
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Architect (Enterprise Architect)
- Experience in the retail industry is considered a strong plus
- Strong expertise in Information Systems architecture
- Solid knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (EIP) and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Good understanding of integration and exchange technologies such as ESB, EAI, MOM, ETL, and API management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute complex initiatives effectively
- Strategic thinking with a long-term perspective (3–5 years horizon)
- Proactive mindset with the ability to turn ideas into actionable improvements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architecture concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
- Advanced English proficiency; French is a plus
- TOGAF V9 certification is considered an advantage
